🦀 Symbolism of the Crab
The Crab is an ancient symbol of protection, intuition, and sensitivity. In the mythology and religions of many cultures – from East Asia to the Mediterranean – it represents the protection of one’s inner world and moving with the natural rhythm of the tides. In astrology, the Crab corresponds to the sign of Cancer, associated with home and family, emotions, and deep perception. The Crab knows its path, even if it isn't straight – and teaches us to follow our calling calmly, gently, and persistently.
🌳 Symbolism of the Tree of Life
The tree is revered by all human cultures (read more in this article) as a symbol of eternal life and rebirth. It connects the past (roots), present (trunk), and future (crown).
Its roots draw upon the wisdom of the ancestors, the strength of Earth and Water. The trunk represents thoughts, words, and actions, channeling energy upward. The crown branches into blossoms, leaves, and fruits, symbolizing the future results of our daily efforts.
Thanks to this connection, the mineral Tree of Life, just like living trees in the forest, connects with the forces of Earth and Sky and is continuously nourished by the energy of Nature.
📜 The Crab’s Journey
The Crab comes from Peru – hand-carved from soft soapstone. We met on May 21, 2025, at a wine festival in Szeged, Hungary. He winked at me from the booth of an elderly couple from Lotusz Feng Shui – and from that moment, it was clear. He wanted his own Tree of Life!
And so he traveled to the Czech Republic – and a week later even joined a tantric course at the Živá Voda Center. Thanks to loving support, on May 28 his great wish came true! Even the blossoms of his Tree are as blue as his eyes 🧿.
In keeping with shamanic traditions, he set out on a Vision Quest to the Transformation Paths retreat. After a week full of tantric and shamanic rituals, he received his new name: Jackus Delaneyus. And then – with determination and a spark in his eye – he set off into the world in search of his happiness…
